Deep Dish Pie Crust


1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
3/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup each: cold butter and shortening (I used Earth balance margarine and shortening)
4 tbsp ice water

 

 

Combine flour and salt in medium bowl. Cut in margarine and shortening with pastry cutter. Add water 1 tablespoon at a time until dough is moist and forms a ball. Roll out on floured surface.
